This business was created by three motivating factors: my desire to collect vintage linens, my passion for sewing, and most importantly the desire to stay home with my children. The name Bugaboo comes from a nickname that I called my first born son. I often joke that my business is a way to deal with all of the testosterone in my household. I fight back in my estrogen room (my sewing room) to create all the girly things that I desire.
Bugaboo designs items as a way for others to enjoy the incredible creations of our ancestors. To appreciate the details that these women put into crocheting a piece of trim or the embroidery artwork on a pillowcase. Many linens sit in closets or boxes and those that are damaged are tossed aside. By restoring and creating new products these linens may be enjoyed day in and day out. It brings them back to life. Many of these products can be considered heirlooms and passed along to the next generation, as they are timeless.
I want to thank you or your interest in Bugaboo Vintage Design. I hope you find a timeless treasure!
